NJ PRODUCER ADDS MEEKER RAP PAK AND MAKES 30% RAP MIXES

A New Jersey asphalt producer recently started up a Meeker RAP PAK system on a 6-ton McCarter batch plant.   The plant is producing high quality mixes in the +30% range.   Meeker custom designed the vapor recovery system to allow steam to quickly dissipate into the dryer through Meeker's exclusive dual damper system.   

Meeker also added control features to allow RAP to "chatter" feed into the mixer.   In addition, the liquid AC has a controlled feed into the mixer to help reduce steam release.
