Meeker’s vertical coiled heater is a compact and efficient unit. Available from 800,000 BTU/HR to 12,000,000 BTU/HR outputs, the heater allows for high efficiency and tight temperature control.

The Meeker vertical coiled heater has a four pass coil design. Combustion air enters the bottom mounted burner fan inlet, passes upward between the inner and outer jacket and is preheated before it enters the top mounted burner. The hot gases are directed through four passes across the heating coils and exit at the flue outlet. This process eliminates the need for large quantities of refractory and insulating materials.

4 Pass Design Means Even Heating & Low Emissions

1) Combustion air enters the burner fan inlet, travels upward between the inner and outer jacket preheating the air before it enters the top mounted burner. The hot gases travel down the full length of the vessel creating the first (radiant) pass.

2) The gases then travel back across the inner row of coils, creating the second (convection) pass.

3) The gases continue back down between the inner coil and outer coil creating the third (convection) pass.

4) The last pass is upward between the outer coil and inner jacket to the flue outlet creating the fourth (convection) pass.
