CORPORATE HISTORY AND CAPABILITIES

Meeker Equipment was formed in 1986 by Robert Meeker. The company was built on the principle of providing out-standing customer support and treating our customers as we would like to be treated. Bob Meeker's career began in 1965 while employed at The McCarter Corporation, a lead-ing manufacturer of asphalt plants in the Northeast USA. During the early years, Meeker Equipment was mainly a distributor of asphalt plant equipment. As we grew, Meek-er added a parts department , engineering services, and additional territory.

In 2004, Bob Meeker sold the business to his sons, Jeff and Steve. The company's continued growth led to the acquisition of Hamilton Tanks in 2006. Meeker also added additional engineering services and broad-ened its product line to the market. A service department was added which employs three full time techni-cians. In 2008, Bill Garrett and Jim Hurlburt, PE obtained an interest in the company; bringing their combined 50+ years experience in the asphalt industry.

Meeker and Hamilton Tanks employ over 65 people serving the asphalt and oil/gas industries.
